Fantastic service! Mini Cooper went in with what I thought was one issue but actually turned out to be quite a fair bit more… despite the work being far more than I had originally thought Joe was super quick and efficient and diagnosed and fixed all issues. He even sent across a video when the car was up on the ramp, talking us through the problems and showing us so we had an understanding of what was going on. Joe was super friendly and very professional, especially as a young woman it’s never a task I look forward to going to a garage…but Joe was really lovely and made the whole thing very straight forward. My mother in law works at a local school and had mentioned his garage after taking kids there for a show and tell day as he was wonderful to the children too. Top guy and I would recommend his garage to anyone! Diolch 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Posted on Google![]()

I booked my Jaguar F-Pace in for a service and I found Joe to be professional from start to finish. He got to work on the car immediately and sent me a detailed video of everything that needed doing ie. replacement of brake discs/pads, filter, oil etc. He also sent me a clear figure of cost before starting so there were no hidden extras. Later, I received and updated recording showing all the works completed. The car was then ready to be picked up on time. Joe is friendly and honest with a nice demeanour and I would highly recommend! Thank you.Posted on Google![]()

I messed up date of my MOT and Joe squeezed me in 2 days later. What an ace. I love that he collects car and drops it back and lets me know what's happening and discusses options. He is punctual, presentable and really personable. He was recommended to me by my brother in law and now my family also use him. What a trustworthy mechanic and all round good guy. Would recommend highly.Posted on Google![]()

I was recommended Law-Fix by a friend when I was having issues with my car's air conditioning, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From the moment I first called Joe to the completion of the work, he was incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. His customer service is absolutely top-notch and easily among the best I've experienced. During our first conversation, Joe took the time to explain the possible causes of the issue I was experiencing and the different approaches they could take to diagnose and fix it. When I brought the car into the garage, he once again walked me through exactly what they were going to do, explaining everything in detail in a friendly, approachable manner that immediately put me at ease. Throughout the repair process, Joe kept me updated on the progress, which I greatly appreciated. I had actually experienced this same issue before, and Joe was able to explain what may have been done incorrectly during the previous repair, giving me confidence that the problem was being properly addressed this time. Joe is an amazing human being—friendly, courteous, approachable, and clearly passionate about helping his customers. On top of that, their charges are very reasonable, especially considering the level of service and expertise provided. This has genuinely been the best experience I've had with a garage so far. I won't be going anywhere else for my future car repair needs. I would absolutely recommend Law-Fix to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable, and customer-focused service.Posted on Google![]()

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 100% Highly recommended! I found Law-Fix Automotive after doing my own research online reading through reviews carefully before choosing where to take my car and I'm so glad I did. It absolutely lives up to everything people say about it. Josef and his dad were both incredibly welcoming, professional, and genuinely passionate about their work the kind of father-and-son team that makes you feel like you're in the best possible hands from the moment you walk in. The service itself was top-notch, but what really set them apart was something I've never experienced at any other garage: Josef kept me updated throughout the entire job with real-time video updates. No waiting around wondering what's happening with your car he sent video footage showing exactly what was being done and why. It felt completely transparent and honest and gave me real peace of mind. The whole experience was friendly, efficient, and stress-free. It's rare to find a garage where the technical skill matches the customer care so perfectly. Law-Fix Automotive has earned a loyal customer in me. If you're searching for a garage, you can truly trust do your research, read the reviews, and you'll keep landing on the same answer: this place. Highly recommended 👌☺️Posted on Google![]()

Stranded with a dead battery? We all know how frustrating an issue this is. When your car breaks down, your first priority is getting it back on the road at the lowest possible cost.
Here at Lawfix Auto, we’ll come and collect your vehicle and take it to our Cardiff Garage for testing and inspection. We’ll run a full diagnostic check to confirm whether the issue is with your battery or another electrical component.
If a full battery replacement is required, we’ll get the job done the same day at the best price in Cardiff!
There are some pretty typical reasons behind why a battery fails. These are:
Age – A standard car battery typically lasts 3 to 5 years, depending on vehicle usage. After this timeframe, the risk of needing a replacement heightens.
Frequent Short Trips – Vehicles that are always taking small trips put stress on the alternator and don’t give it the time it needs to recharge properly.
Extreme Temperatures – Extreme heat or cold in the peak of winter and summer puts stress on your battery, heightening the risks of breakdown.
When it comes to dead car batteries, there are some key signs that yours needs a change. These include:
The engine is struggling to turn over
Dashboard battery warning lights are coming on
Flickering headlights
Constantly having to jump-start your car
Problems with car electrics (radio/windows/etc)
If you notice any of these signs, feel free to book in with us for a quick battery testing service, where we can identify the root cause of the issues you are facing.
Car battery replacement prices in Cardiff usually depend on your vehicle, the required battery type, and whether your car uses stop-start technology. At Lawfix Automotive, we’ll confirm the correct battery for your make and model before we begin the work, so you know the price in advance.

Frequent short journeys can stop your battery from fully recharging, especially if you only drive for a few minutes at a time. Longer journeys give the alternator more time to recharge the battery properly.
Interior lights, headlights, dashcams, chargers and other electrical devices can drain your battery if left running while the engine is off. Always double-check that everything is switched off before leaving your vehicle.
Cold weather puts extra strain on car batteries, especially older ones. If your battery is more than three years old, it’s worth getting it tested before winter to reduce the risk of a breakdown.
If your engine is taking longer than usual to turn over, your battery could be losing strength. Booking a quick battery check early can help you avoid being stranded with a completely flat battery.
Loose or corroded battery terminals can affect how well your vehicle starts and charges. If you notice corrosion around the terminals, book your car in so the connections can be checked safely.
If your battery keeps dying after being recharged or replaced, the issue may not be the battery itself. A faulty alternator, poor connection or electrical drain could be causing the problem.
Call us, send an enquiry or provide your registration number so we can check the correct battery type and confirm availability.
We test the battery and charging system to make sure the fault is not being caused by the alternator, poor connections or another electrical issue.
If a replacement is needed, we confirm the correct battery and fitted price before carrying out the work.
We remove the old battery, fit the correct replacement and check the vehicle starts and charges properly before you leave.

Typically, every 3-5 years. If you’re struggling with battery issues within this timeframe, book in for a car battery testing appointment.
Usually costs between £150 and £300, depending on the make and model of your vehicle. If you give us a call and let us know the make and model, we can provide an accurate quotation for a battery replacement service.
You can, however, risk breaking down and becoming stranded. It’s better just to address the issue head-on before it dies completely.

Not always. A flat battery can be caused by the battery itself, but it can also be caused by alternator faults, poor connections, parasitic drain or another electrical issue. That’s why we test the battery and charging system before recommending a replacement. We’ll diagnose the root cause of the issue and let you know what it is before we undertake any work.

Some modern vehicles need battery coding or registration after replacement, especially vehicles with stop-start systems or advanced battery management. We’ll advise what your vehicle needs before fitting the new battery.
If a new battery goes flat again, the issue may be with the charging system, alternator, wiring or an electrical drain. Contact us and we’ll advise the next step. We always recommend testing the battery and charging system first to reduce the risk of replacing the wrong part.
